I will never forget that the people in my court are trying to hold on to their children, their spouses, and their families. It is important that a Family Court Judge be able to listen and understand what is being said by the people who appear before them. It is even more important that a Family Court Judge be able to set aside their biases about people and families that don’t resemble their own.

Over my entire career I have prided myself on a calm demeanor and the ability to explain difficult legal issues in a way that people can understand. The people appearing in Family Court deserve to be treated with respect and understand what is happening to them.
